Gregg –
Very good guitar for the money. The speaker is crap, but the rest is very good. The tuner proved to be accurate. I have it plugged into my Xbox one using rock Smith to learn. I love it! Also just to address concerns with it “not staying in tune” this is a normal phenomenon with new guitar strings. Give it a minute and they’ll seat.
Prince –
I ordered this as a birthday gift to myself as it’s been about 20 years (wow, that seems like a long time ago) since I bought a new guitar for myself. I haven’t played as much in the last few years and wanted something I could play at night when the wife was asleep and not bother her. This fits the bill nicely. The amp is garbage, and the tone controls barely do anything on the guitar. Also there are some microphonics in one of the pickups. It still plays well and sounds decent. The amp really could be better, but for a $90 starter kit it’s fantastic. If the amp had been a better built unit this would have easily been a 5 star review. The action is light, and after stressing the strings it’s stayed in tune perfectly.
Edit. I’ve owned this now for two years, I can say the strings that are included are garbage. But a good set of strings to replace the ones on it, and have it properly setup by a professional luthier. This unit was well worth what I paid for it.
